MEET SHEP His page: www.facebook.com/ShepDontGiveUp/ Shep is a stunning 9-11 year old boy, He knows all his basic commands, is eager to please and has lots of spunk!
Shep is heart-worm positive and has started treatment, which will have to be continued when he leaves the shelter.
This senior sweetheart is a real gem. He is loving, gentle, well behaved, playful and true to his breed. He is extremely loyal, dedicated and protective of his people.
Shep is looking for a home with a very special Mom or Dad — a very savvy, Shepherd experienced, human who is committed to him and will cherish him the rest of his life. A home where he can be the one and only apple of your eye; no dogs, no cats, no kids.
Shelter life is difficult for all dogs, but it is especially difficult for Senior dogs. Won’t someone please open their heart and home and give Shep a chance?
The Barbara Innes Memorial Fund has been created by her family through Shelter Link to help some shelter animals. Barbara had a special place in her heart for Shepherds so her family felt the best use of the fund will be to cover the adoption fee for Shep at Babylon Animal Shelter.
Our sincere condolences go out to Barbara's family. We know she was a much loved member of the family and will be greatly missed.❤️

Hersey is a 2 years old Dachshund and Jack Russell mix He is about 10 pounds, and he is Neutered.
He is okay with smaller dogs. Definitely needs an introduction with other dogs. NO CATS! He likes to go after cats and probably won't be good in a home with cats. He is very active dog fenced yard would be best but if he can go on lots of walks that would be good also. Can be in a crate and is working on being potty trained. ... See MoreSee Less

Like many unwanted dogs during the COVID pandemic, Hattie was dumped out on the streets in April of 2020. It was clear that Hattie had not had a great start in life. With many worn down and broken teeth, Hattie was sent in for a dental and it was discovered that a stick had been lodged deep in her palate, causing damage to her teeth and, no doubt, quite a bit of pain, too. Many of her teeth have been worn down and a few were damaged and had to be removed. After recovering from dental surgery and being spayed, Hattie’s next step was to be treated for heartworms. Through all of this, Hattie has been a delight. She is approximately 5 years old, 55 pounds, a black Lab mix. She isn’t “in your face” with slobbery kisses, but she does love to lean in for some hugs and affection. Hattie has been in a foster home with other dogs (she’s fine with dogs) and cats (she does like to give chase, but has never growled at them) and teenagers (she loves to be with her people!) She looks forward to her daily walks almost as much as she loves to eat (she is definitely a foodie) and, in general, seems to be fairly low energy. She has never been crated while at her current foster’s home and she has never once chewed on or destroyed anything. Definitely an easy keeper. ... See MoreSee Less
This is Cali she is a 9 month old lab mix and she is available for adoption. She would do best with another dog in the home. She can be nervous with strangers, she does gain confidence from her foster brother which is why we think another dog in the home for her would be ideal. ... See MoreSee Less

Would you consider adopting her out to a family with no other dogs?
I am very seriously interested in adopting this dog. We lost our 12-year-old black lab about a month ago and are looking for a new companion for our family. We have another 4 year old dog that is quite lonely since his passing. The children are older. Please let me know what next steps need to be taken.
Has she been adopted ?
I have a Jug doggy and Manx cat that would gladly share all they have. Oh and me too 🙂
Been looking for the perfect 3rd furry member to join my family. Crate if needed. But prefer to let them roam and be animals
Where is this rescue located. My friend posted about a pup but I’m not sure where this is. I’m in Lockport, NY. Love this girl. If local, what is adoption fee and is she still available?
