Hi Jamie Whitbeck Ferrari. Is this one of your fosters? What is his energy level like and how is he with other dogs? My pup is 9 and very laid back relaxed personality. I may be looking for a buddy (non-dominant). Feel free to message me. Thanks
He is beautiful❤
Have you seen a happier boy eat? That tail never stops wagging when it’s time to eat!!
More Willie updates: Look who learned to shake!! He’s a super smart boy and loooooves food so he’s willing to do anything for a treat!
And this is how Willie sleeps ❤️ Snuggled in his crate. He won’t make a peep from 9pm until I wake up in the morning!

Meet Shep! This stunning German Shepherd was found as a stray in August of 2019 and brought to the Babylon Animal Shelter. No one ever came looking for him and so he sits day after day wondering why the love and loyalty he gave his people was not reciprocated. Abandoned on the streets by those he thought loved him has caused this poor boy pain beyond measure and it is beyond heartbreaking to watch.
German Shepherd Dogs are among the most popular breeds in the world. Strong protective instincts are a hallmark of the breed. German Shepherds are known as superb companion dogs who will be devoted to you at all times. Every day, humans put their lives in the hands of this amazing breed. They are trusted by the police, the military, and even the blind as seeing-eye dogs. That trust is not unfounded, either. These amazing canines have proven themselves time and time again to be “man’s best friend.”
Senior sweetheart, Shep is a real gem. He is loving, gentle, well behaved, playful and true to his breed. He is extremely loyal, dedicated and protective of his people. Sheps commanding presence and stunning, dark features place him among the most handsome creatures that you will ever see. Like all Shepherds, he also happens to be one of the smartest, most loyal and fascinating domesticated animals in the world.
Shep is a stunning 8-10 year young senior boy, who is heart-worm positive and will require treatment. He knows all his basic commands, is eager to please and has lots of spunk! Shep is very active and playful; he loves walks and walks wonderfully on a leash. He likes playing fetch, enjoys burying his stuffies, and likes staying close to his people.
Older dogs like Shep whose lives have been disrupted have so much love to give and he would like nothing better than giving it. Senior dogs rely heavily on their owner for companionship and therefore bond very quickly to their people. Shep is a bit people selective, and that is certainly understandable given he was found astray. The shelter is recommending a few meet and greets so Shep can spend time with you and slowly get to know you. All he needs is someone who will help him learn to trust that not all people are bad. Once Shep gets to know you he is the most loyal and loving best friend you could ever have.
In general, Shepherds and their owners share a very special bond; and this type of bond has to be experienced to be understood. Any Shepherd owner will tell you that it is because the German Shepherd is an incredibly special dog. Shep is looking for a home with a very special Mom or Dad — a savvy, Shepherd experienced human who is committed to him and will cherish him the rest of his life. A home where he can be the one and only apple of your eye.
NO OTHER DOGS, NO CATS, NO KIDS.
Tragically, the dogs who wait the longest are often the ones with the least amount of time to waste. Shep needs our help now! It truly is of the utmost importance that this loving, overlooked, abandoned senior has the opportunity to live the best possible life. He is just as deserving as his younger counterparts. Any family wise enough to adopt Shep will be the lucky recipient of a love as unconditional as it is enduring.
Are you looking for a special companion who adores being with you? One who is extremely loyal and loving? Shep may just be the dog for you! Shelter life is difficult for all dogs, but it is especially difficult for Senior dogs. Won’t someone please open their heart and home and give Shep a chance? ... See MoreSee Less

In desperate need of a foster home. Paul is a 5-6 year old pitty mix. He loves attention, he is housebroken and crate trained. He has had a rough life so he can get a little protective of his food and toys so he would do best in a house without dogs and little kids. He actively seeks out attention and love from people. He would really love if someone would give him a chance at a happy life. ... See MoreSee Less
😞Every time I see one, has to be only one in household.
I called him " Paulie Walnuts" when we fostered him. He's an awesome pet. We would have adopted him ourselves but we already have 7! They played with Paulie a lot and when Paulie ate he ate in his kennel......I pray someone adopts my pal!!
A few months back I adopted a dog that too had a rough life and was very protective of food and toys. Always keeping in mind what he had been through and that he wasn’t this way for no reason, I kept working to build trust with and prove to him I wasn’t going to harm or steal what was his. Safely taking toys or treats he didn’t prize as highly as others only to give them back, later working up to things he did highly prize has worked very well. A troubled dog isn’t a bad dog; they just need a little additional patience and for you to prove yourself, but the reward of doing so is priceless. Please, give this boy a chance!
We adopted a beautiful German shepherd 7 years ago. Her teeth were worn to the gums from chewing on a cage, she wad afraid of men, especially with baseball caps, had irritable bowel syndrome. It took us a year for her to trust us. She no longer needs meds, and is doing great. She is 12 years old now. Not one regret.
Available for adoption.... Chloe is about a year old, she is housebroken, crate trained, has all her shots, and is spayed and microchipped. she is the sweetest little girl. She takes her favorite toys and puts them on the window sill. She brings toys to you to play with her. loves to snuggle on the couch. Enjoys being out in the snow, running circles.
I can't believe it but this cuddle bug still needs a place to call his own. He would do best in a home with no other dogs and no really young kids. If you could find a place in your heart and in your home for paul you wont be disappointed. ... See MoreSee Less
