How does someone adopt?
Foster
Nellie is truly a sweet, affectionate, wonderful dog who just needs to find the right people and the right environment. She is not a timid dog in her current foster home (that she's been in for over 7 months), but she will take time to adjust to her forever home. She is wary of strangers, but shows zero aggression, even when she's the most nervous. She would thrive in a home with another dog, she's also safe to have around children, cats, and chickens. She has an active mind and body, so once she gets settled, she would most likely love being in a busy household with plenty of things to be a part of. She is house broken, crate trained, and has a good recall. She loves toys, bones, and sprinting around the yard. Nellie has waited far too long to find a permanent home. Say hello to Cici. She is a 9 week old lab possibly German shorthair pointer mix. She is very playful, enjoys playing with her big 86 pound foster brother. What is needed! How potty trained is he?

Nellie is ready for her family and is tailor made to fit right in.. gets along great with kids, other dogs, cats, and a variety of farm animals. Currently 7-8 months old, should end up being medium sized, around 40-50 lbs. She's crate trained, and does well on the leash.

Nellie is definitely in the top 3 of all the fosters i've had 💯. She checks all the boxes. The only thing wrong is that for some bizarre reason, she has yet to find her forever home 🩷.

Her foster siblings have taught her what life can be like with a loving, patience family. It is strongly suggested she be adopted by a family with another resident dog and a fenced in yard. Some of the things Lisa gets excited for are toys, treats, her dog friends and a playful voice. Lisa is crate trained. She has almost mastered potty training. Give this girl a shot, she needs you just as much as you need her!
